A personal cluster is just a We with a single principal, where the governance machinery collapses to trivial. Add a second sovereign person and the real machinery switches on: consent boundaries, jointly-owned memory, distributed accountability.
Roles, separate from people
A We charters a role — “Head of Support,” “Committee Chair” — that owns its addresses, memory, and policies independent of any occupant. A person’s hat binds to the role; the role persists across every binding.
Succession that keeps context
Exit is an unbinding: the person keeps what their identity became and the résumé line; the We keeps the role’s memory intact; the successor inherits full context. Handoffs stop losing everything.
The inference boundary
Cross-principal memory is only ever queried, never handed over as data. Grants carry scope, purpose, and rate budgets with an inference-only output class. There is no grant that exports another person’s memory.
An audit ledger you can see
Every automated action and every cross-boundary read writes an append-only record — including the authorizing rule and the model’s reasoning. The owner of a memory store can always see its access ledger. No black-box access exists.

Every role is governed under one of three modes — because an employee, a volunteer, and a contractor are not the same deal.
